Lecturer in Child Education

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of childcare professionals through outstanding teaching and support?

We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Child Education to provide high quality teaching and learning across Levels 1–3, contributing to the programme area’s specialist expertise while supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals and progress positively.
\n
The role includes planning, delivering and evaluating engaging learning programmes using a range of teaching strategies; developing inclusive learning resources and assignments; accurately assessing, monitoring and internally verifying student work; and preparing samples for external moderation.
\n
You will work within agreed curriculum frameworks and targets, contribute to curriculum development, complete required administrative tasks, and provide timely, accurate data and records.
\n
Responsibilities also include:
\n
\n Acting as a course manager and/or tutor
\n
Delivering effective tutorial and pastoral support
\n
Supporting student recruitment and marketing activities
\n
Maintaining high levels of retention achievement and behaviour
\n
Visiting students on vocational placements to assess competence
\n
Accompanying students on educational visits when required
\n
And undertaking other duties appropriate to the grade of post.
