SEN/SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant - Accrington

We are seeking caring, dedicated and adaptable SEN, SEND and SEMH Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in Accrington. Opportunities are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with flexibility around your availability and preferred year groups.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and thrive within the school environment.
Responsibilities may include:
* Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEND
* Delivering targeted interventions to small groups
* Supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Assisting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other school staff to meet individual learning needs
We are looking for candidates who:
* Have experience working with children with SEN, SEND and/or SEMH needs
* Have worked within education, childcare, youth work, support work or care settings
* Are patient, resilient and nurturing in their approach
* Can build positive relationships with children and staff
* Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Hold a relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Support in Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
