About the Role
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Paediatric Nurses to join our agency team and work across busy NHS Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children and families in urgent and emergency situations, while enjoying flexible shift patterns and competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality nursing care to children and young people presenting in the A&E department.
* Carry out triage, assessment, and ongoing monitoring of patients.
* Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in line with NMC standards.
* Support doctors and multidisciplinary teams during resuscitations, procedures, and investigations.
* Deliver emotional support and reassurance to children and families in crisis situations.
* Maintain accurate records, care plans, and documentation.
* Safeguard vulnerable children and escalate concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
* Work effectively as part of a fast-paced emergency team while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
Requirements
* NMC-registered Paediatric Nurse (RSCN / RN Child).
* Minimum 12 months post-registration experience in paediatric A&E, ED, or acute children's services.
* Up-to-date clinical skills in paediatric assessment, triage, and emergency interventions.
* Current DBS check (or willing to apply).
* Up-to-date mandatory training and paediatric life support.
* Flexible, reliable, and able to work confidently in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £24.00-£32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 11.5 – 55 per week
