A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional indemnity lawyer to join a leading practice as a Professional Support Lawyer. This is a ‘modern’ PSL position, involving traditional PSL-type responsibilities and business development work. The successful candidate can expect to: Identify opportunities to leverage legal developments, legal trends and regulatory changes to market the firm’s services to clients, tailoring content to analyse the legal and practical impact of such developments for those clients Write and lead on the distribution of technical legal content Devise and support on the delivery of non-technical marketing content Provide strategic input on directory submissions to enhance the reputation of the firm’s work and its lawyers Attend internal and client strategy meetings designed to manage client relationships. Play a leading role in the organisation of client-facing events Provide strategic input and direction on the preparation of pitches Support alignment between local, regional and global business development and knowledge strategy Promote the wider utilization of knowledge and business development tools and processes within the Group Key Requirements Strong academic credentials Admitted in a common law jurisdiction Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) and the confidence to communicate and present well in a multi-cultural, multi-level matrix environment Excellent time management and organizing skills Innovative and client-focused in the use of delivery media Strong word processing, spreadsheet and presentation skills Strong legal research and excellent legal drafting skills Able to present information concisely and professionally Self-starter who is able to demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude to their work Consistently produces quality work and pays close attention to detail Ability to work with remote supervision as part of a dispersed team Able to multi-task and work on a variety of projects at the same time Keen to learn and develop, demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication
