We are seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant Community Paediatrician with a special interest in Neurodevelopment to join our friendly and committed team at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. These posts are based at Queen Mary's Hospital for Children and will support the delivery of community paediatric services across Sutton and Merton. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team offering high-quality care for children with a wide range of developmental needs. Responsibilities include:
1. Leading neurodevelopmental clinics, including assessments for ASD and complex needs in children under 5.
2. Supporting education health care needs assessments (EHCNA) and medicals for looked-after children.
3. Triaging referrals and supervising the neurodevelopment nursing team.
4. Contributing to strategic service development in collaboration with local partners.
5. Participating in educational, quality improvement, and peer review activities within the department.
There is no on-call commitment unless desired. The post offers regular SPA time and supports continued professional development.
We are part of an integrated health and care Trust that collaborates with GPs, mental health services, community providers, and local authorities to deliver comprehensive care. Our services include adult community health, sexual health, children's therapies, and specialized hospital services such as the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Service and nephrology services. We work within the St George's, Epsom, and St Helier Hospital and Health Group to develop stronger clinical and corporate services.
