About The Role
Youll be responsible for coordinating the workshop team, ensuring that repair and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard, and keeping customers updated on progress. This is a hands-on role, so as well as supervising others, youll be carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and repair work on a variety of specialist assets.
Key Duties
* Organise daily workshop activity, allocate jobs, and oversee technician performance.
* Provide clear updates to customers, prepare estimates, invoicing, and manage expectations on repair timescales.
* Carry out mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.
What We Are Looking For
* Background: Skilled in the maintenance and repair of plant or commercial vehicles.
* Technical ability: Strong diagnostic knowledge and confidence working across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
* Compliance awareness: Understanding of inspection standards, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or time served.
* Personal approach: A hands-on leader who can motivate a team, work independently, and maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude.
