Position: Engineering Manager

Role Overview
I am seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join my clients leadership team. This is a newly created position, driven by continuous business growth. As an integral part of the Engineering and Manufacturing teams, you will oversee all engineering activities within their pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development
* Lead and develop the Facilities and Process Maintenance, Critical Utilities, Process Engineering, and Equipment Validation teams.
* Prioritize and assign engineering projects to the appropriate teams.
Engineering Operations
* Oversee the acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal of building systems and production equipment.
* Implement and manage capital activities, ensuring improvements in engineering and financial areas while maintaining equipment availability and reliability.
Financial Management
* Analyze financial information, manage operating and capital budgets, and monitor revenues and expenditures to control costs.
Project Management
* Direct and implement complex engineering projects for automatic, semi-automatic, and manually controlled production machines and auxiliary equipment.
* Lead continuous improvement efforts and Reliability-Centered-Maintenance initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety
* Develop and implement procedures to meet safety, regulatory, and financial requirements.
* Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and safety policies.
* Support new product introductions and technology transfers.
Process Improvement
* Develop strategies and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
* Investigate equipment failures and implement preventive measures.
* Maintain control of Quality Systems and metrics within the Engineering Department.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, chemical manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments.
* Proficiency with plant systems in pharmaceutical GMP production (e.g., clean steam, Water for Injection, autoclaves).
* Experience in budgeting, capital investment, and expenditure.
* Familiarity with GMP, Quality System Regulation, and ISO requirements.
