Our client, a leading independent accountancy practice, is seeking an ambitious Accounting Manager to join their Leeds team. The Opportunity: What You’ll Be Doing As Accounting Manager, you will: Manage a portfolio of medical sector clients, including GP practices, consultants, dental practices, pharmacies, and care homes Oversee completion and submission of financial statements (FRS105 & FRS102 1A), business and personal tax returns by statutory deadlines Provide technical guidance and direct line management to Business Services Assistants/Seniors (including 1-1s, goal setting, and reviews) Resolve complex client queries and liaise directly with clients, ensuring high standards of service and compliance Review assignments prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and readiness for client meetings Attend and contribute to client meetings as required by senior management Develop strong professional relationships with clients, encouraging referrals and building your own business network What We’re Looking For: Key Requirements Professional qualification: ICAS, ACA or ACCA (fully qualified) Experience: Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) within a UK accountancy practice Medical sector knowledge: Familiarity with sector-specific legislation and terminology highly advantageous Technical expertise: Strong understanding of FRS105, FRS102 1A, business and personal tax Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop junior staff Full UK driving licence Personal attributes: Ambitious, organised, proactive, and a dedicated team player with excellent problem-solving skills Benefits: Why Join This Practice?
