About the role
Medical Administrator (Part-Time/Flexible)
Working Hours: 16 hours per week, flexible between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Office-based in Newcastle City Centre
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and organised Medical Administrator on a part-time, flexible working basis. This is a key administrative role providing critical support through the preparation and coordination of medical reports and related services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and process letters of instruction from panel solicitors.
* Liaise with medical experts and partners to request and follow up on medical reports and rehabilitation services.
* Prepare and submit medical reports to solicitors in a timely and accurate manner.
* Handle invoicing, including preparation and payment of invoices.
* Resolve queries from solicitors and other stakeholders efficiently and professionally.
* Manage an active caseload, ensuring all cases are progressed and documented appropriately.
* Respond promptly to telephone calls and correspondence from solicitors, medical agencies, hospitals, and medical experts.
* Support the team with handling medical records and maintaining accurate documentation.
* Assist with post, emails, and general administrative duties as required.
* Support colleagues and offer cover for other team members when needed.
* Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations in all aspects of the role.
* Undertake any additional duties requested by line managers.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a medical, legal, or administrative environment is desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Comfortable using IT systems and handling confidential information securely.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work.
