Overview
About the Part-Time 1:1 Tutor position: Prospero Teaching are looking for 1:1 tutors to support children in care, children with special educational needs and excluded pupils across Cambridgeshire.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions with students aged 5–16, many of whom are disengaged in education and may not be on a school roll.
* Deliver sessions at the student’s home or the local library, with a focus on English and Maths.
* Work with learners who may have behaviour and/or SEN difficulties and who are likely working below age-related expectations.
* Manage caseloads; typical arrangement is around 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, with flexibility per student and potential to take on more than one case.

* Location: Various across Cambridgeshire
* Position: Part Time 1:1 Teacher

* Likely duration: Ongoing until the student can return to school

* Minimum rate of pay: £25 per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* You MUST have relevant tutoring experience and be able to provide your own lesson plans
* Experience working with students with SEMH would be advantageous
* Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student
* A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students
* The ability to engage and motivate students while making learning fun
Eligibility
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
