<div><h3>Job Overview</h3><p>This is a permanent Band 5 Dietitian role based at Scarborough Hospital, part of the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The department values clinical supervision, peer support, and ongoing learning across the Four Pillars of Practice. The position offers opportunities to work across multiple specialties and to develop skills in oral, enteral, and parenteral nutrition.</p><h3>Hours</h3><p>37.5 hours per week, full‑time.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide inpatient dietetic services across general medicine, surgery, stroke, gastroenterology, care of the elderly, cancer, and renal disease.</li><li>Assess, plan, and implement nutrition care including oral, enteral tube feeding, and parenteral nutrition.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support other healthcare professionals through training programmes.</li><li>Deliver clinical supervision and participate in supervising dietetic students on three clinical placements.</li><li>Work primarily at Scarborough Hospital with occasional cross‑site duties at York and Bridlington Hospitals.</li><li>Transport necessary equipment across the locality during a normal working day.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><p>Band 5, Diploma in Dietetics or equivalent. Newly qualified dietitians in their first year of practice may apply for a preceptorship.
