Overview
First Military Recruitment are seeking a full time Electrical Installation Lecturer to join one of our prestigious clients based in Uxbridge. You will teach on a range of programmes in the relevant subject area, including EAL and City & Guilds courses.
You will be qualified to Level 3 in Electrical Installation, with experience gained within the industry, and some teaching/training experience. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team, and with many training and development opportunities and scope for promotion within the College, you will be embarking on a varied and rewarding career. We will support you to develop your career in teaching, including fully funding the level 5 teacher training qualification.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Full time – 36 Hours per week.
2. Teach on a range of programmes in the relevant subject area, including EAL and City & Guilds courses.
3. Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and resource materials for teaching programmes.
4. Assess students’ progress regularly including the timely marking of work and giving feedback, both written and oral.
5. Promote Equal Opportunities and implement the College’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
6. Provide a secure, safe and friendly learning environment including implementation of College’s Health & Safety Policy.
Skills & Qualifications
7. Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
8. Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET/PGCE) or willingness and ability to work towards a level 5 teaching qualification, supported by the College.
9. Assessor award (A1 or equivalent) or willing to obtain.
10. Experience in the electrical installation industry.
11. Teaching/training experience in the subject area.
12. Experience of assessing people in the workplace.
13. Ability to engage with vocational learners aged 16-19.
14. Good communication skills, written and verbal.
15. Good classroom practice.

Salary: £32,455 – £45,260 Per Annum (£5000 Extra per annum for highly experienced candidates)
