Software Quality Engineer, Traffic Engineering

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our Bot Management team within Amazon Traffic Engineering. In this role, you will act as a crucial member of our red team, simulating and evaluating AI Agents and their interactions with Amazon's digital properties. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing our bot detection and mitigation strategies, ensuring the security and integrity of our platforms. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI and security technology, dealing with some of the most sophisticated automation challenges in the industry. You\'ll gain hands-on experience with emerging AI technologies and automation frameworks while protecting one of the world\'s largest e-commerce platforms. As part of Amazon\'s Traffic Engineering organization, you\'ll have opportunities to grow your career by collaborating with world-class engineers, contributing to open-source security tools, and developing expertise in emerging technologies.


Key job responsibilities

* Simulate new and existing AI Agents, replicating industry-standard and emerging automated interactions with Amazon\'s digital properties
* Identify gaps in our ingress security and bot protection measures through systematic testing and analysis
* Audit and test how agents utilize UX automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and others
* Develop and maintain testing frameworks capable of detecting and analyzing automated interactions
* Collaborate with security and development teams to implement and validate bot protection measures
* Stay current with emerging trends in AI and bot technologies to anticipate future challenges
* Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend actionable improvements


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
* Bachelor\'s degree
* Experience in manual testing
* Experience in automation testing
* Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
* Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
