We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef on a permanent, full-time basis to work at our Ty Penrhos Care Home in Caerphilly.
What you'll doYou'll be in a key role where you can make a difference. You will control and manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen. You will also be responsible for directing and supervising kitchen staff and ensuring they are also aware of their responsibilities with regard to food hygiene and preparation. We have a 5 out of 5 hygiene rating on all our sites.
This role will cover shifts on a rolling 7 day rota, including alternate weekends.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role you will need an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) as well as professional catering experience. You will have the skills and knowledge to communicate clearly, manage a team and have proven ability to deliver a high standard of food service.
This is a permanent role for 36 hours per week.

The design of Ty Penrhos supports an environment that enables independence and choice within a comfortable and secure setting.
