Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Inorganic Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Dermot O’Hare for a period of up to 2 years. The project involves the synthesis of functional polyolefins and is funded by SCG Chemicals PLC, Thailand and lies within the SCG-Oxford Centre of Excellence, which is a multimillion-pound, long-term collaboration between SCG Chemicals PLC and the University of Oxford. Find out more about the O’Hare research and group at: About you Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area, (or be very close to completion) prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires experience in polymer synthesis from both an organometallic catalysis and an organic synthesis and characterisation perspective. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small-scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry and is available as soon as possible. Application Process
