We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant reception-based security guard to join our team on a permanent, ongoing basis in Loughborough, on Saturdays & Sundays from 09:00 – 21:00.
What the role will include:
As a reception-based security guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients premises and visitors. Your primary duties will include monitoring the reception area, conducting hourly patrols of the building and surrounding property & recording observations and occurrences. This role requires strong observational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. The role will include:
* Delivering customer service and support to guests.
* Reporting any suspicious behaviour.
* Monitor the reception area and maintain a welcoming environment for any staff or visitors.
* Conduct hourly patrols of the building and surrounding areas to ensure security and safety.
* Respond to any suspicious activity or security incidents promptly and effectively.
* Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports.
* Coordinate with other personnel as necessary.
* Adhere to security policies and procedures at all times.
* Handle any emergencies or incidents in a calm and professional manner.
* Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
* Successful candidates must have an SIA licence in Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection.
* Excellent customer service skills, you should be confident with speaking to members of the public and comfortable with helping patrons and making them feel safe and secure.
* A smart appearance with good personal presentation
* The ability to take charge, make decisions and handle difficult situations with maturity.
* Comfortable with working long hours.
* Checkable work history for the previous five years in accordance with BS7858.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Able to work effectively in teams and develop strong team loyalty.
* Good observational skills and ability to take initiative to act individually or collaboratively as needed.
* Ideally, you will have at least three years’ experience in a security role, however this is not essential as training will be provided for the right candidates.
* Access to own vehicle required due to the locations of the jobs.
