Technical Manager – Food Manufacturing

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Technical Manager from a food manufacturing background looking for your next challenge? We are working with a leading food manufacturing business currently seeking a dynamic Technical Manager to join their senior leadership team.
In this pivotal role, you will take full responsibility for managing the technical and quality functions on site. You’ll lead a team of Quality Managers, Supervisors, and QA Technicians, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and delivering continuous improvements across the technical function.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the site’s Technical and QA teams, including Quality Managers, Supervisors, and QA personnel.

Develop, implement, and maintain the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP plans.
*
Work closely with the Site Internal Auditor and Compliance Manager to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.
*
Take the lead in customer quality improvements, acting as a key contact for technical queries and audits.
*
Ensure all quality assurance procedures are adhered to across production and operational teams.
*
Drive technical excellence across the site through training, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:

Proven experience in a Technical or Quality Manager role within food manufacturing is essential.

Strong working knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and quality management systems.
*
Experienced in leading and developing cross-functional technical teams.
*
Confident in managing external and customer audits.
*
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
