Job Overview
We are looking for a registered mental health or learning disabilities nurse to join our supportive team. You will have a passion for supporting adults during admissions to inpatient services and for supporting them and their families in their recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Support patients with mental and physical health, teach coping strategies and keep people safe.
* Work with families and loved ones and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists and others.
* Assist with admissions to inpatient services, providing care and guidance to patients and their families.
* Develop leadership skills through NHS Leadership Academy courses, in‑house leadership courses, coaching, mentoring, regular team days, reflective practice and both clinical and management supervision.
Key Qualifications
* Post‑qualification experience working as a nurse.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Care and passion for the people we serve.
* Good knowledge of MHA and safeguarding.
* Completed mentorship training to mentor students.
* Excellent communication and liaison skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to manage and supervise staff effectively.
Benefits & Practicalities
* High‑Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also referred to as London Weighting, of 5% of basic salary (subject to a minimum payment of £1,346 per year and a maximum payment of £2,270 per year). This allowance is paid monthly.
* Additional payment each month for employees based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley.
* Access to NHS Leadership Academy courses, in‑house leadership courses, coaching, mentoring, regular team days, reflective practice as well as management and clinical supervision.
