What you’ll be doing day to day
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients and offering clear, accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Maintaining efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have
We offer an exciting career opportunity requiring an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is also necessary. If not already completed, we will support your training within 6 months.
We support your professional development towards NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services, which can lead to registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician and potentially an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Your pay and benefits will reflect your ongoing qualifications and roles.
