Puttshack is an upscale, tech-infused mini golf experience that combines groundbreaking technology with world-class food and a full bar in a fun environment. The Assistant General Manager works with the Operations General Manager to share responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business and acts as a key liaison between the restaurant, kitchen, guests, and associates and head office. You will lead and inspire the team across all areas of the operation and help ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Forecasting and controls: assist the Operations General Manager with planning, budgeting, financial planning, cost control, and developing business strategies to achieve organizational goals.
* P&L: work to maximize sales and profit targets; monitor expenditure and ensure proper procedures are followed.
* Financial administration: maintain cash control, bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, monitor comps and voids, and provide accurate data between venue and head office.
* Stock: ensure stock control and budgets are adhered to; follow purchasing procedures; undertake monthly stock takes; maintain quality and stock rotation.
* Premises: assist with cleanliness and maintenance of the venue.
* Health and Safety: establish and monitor high standards of hygiene and health & safety in line with statutory and company requirements.
* Equipment: oversee maintenance of equipment; report issues promptly and follow up as needed, especially with technology that may impact health and safety obligations.
* People – Administration: manage schedules, deployment, holidays, supervise staff and control payroll costs.
* Motivation: lead the team, inspire performance, and support growth and profitability of the business.
* Recruitment: follow recruitment procedures; ensure staff are legally eligible to work in the UK; oversee induction and documentation.
* Training and Development: assist with appraisals, performance improvement plans, and development opportunities.
* Welfare and Discipline: adhere to company policy on staff welfare and timely performance management as required.
* Uniform, grooming and conduct: maintain high standards of presentation and behavior for all team members.
* Guest relations: build and maintain excellent guest relations; identify improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and guest satisfaction; address issues promptly.
* Service: ensure high standards of service and guest care; collaborate with department heads to ensure smooth operations across all areas.
* Feedback: respond to written complaints promptly; propose solutions and complete nightly reports with accurate information.
* Briefings: provide appropriate briefings to enable managers and associates to fulfill guests’ arrangements.
* Formal procedures: assist with escalations per business and HR procedures.
Essential Requirements
* A minimum of one year of experience as an Assistant General Manager in a food and beverage environment.
* Genuine desire to provide the best guest experience and continuously develop self and team performance.

* Impeccable presentation and professional conduct; build good working relationships with all colleagues.
