Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Stevenage Onsite 4-5 Days per week

Europe's #1 Integrated Defence Company seeks talented Embedded Software Engineers to help support the ongoing and future design, build, test and implementation of subsystem software for its next-gen Missile Systems.
You'd be welcomed into a highly collaborative multidiscipline team, consisting of Software, Systems & Electronics Engineers, who specialise in hard real-time software development primarily using SysML/UML and C, C++ or Ada programming and model-based development, utilising UML tools such as Rhapsody or Matlab/Simulink.
Essential Experience: Real-Time Operating Systems (Highly Desirable)
Experience developing in languages such as C++, C, ADA or Rust and motivated to develop reliable, high-performance, standardised, and documented software
Understanding of standardised bus systems and protocols
Excellent analytical and design ability, including review and critical analysis
'Can do' and flexible approach - you'll enjoy solving technical problems that sometimes extend beyond the bounds of "software
Keen to work on novel products where the software you produce is time and mission-critical
Able to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including Systems Engineering, Electronics and Electrical, and Test and Validation
Benefits Package: Base salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (DoE)
Annual Bonus : Circa £2,500 per annum - Pro-Rata
Annual Salary Review: Increase varies year to year and is based on your performance - up to 6.5% uplift in 2023
Dynamic Working: Where possible, the company will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working.
Dynamic Pay (Overtime): Flat rate (1.00) Mon- Fri and at 1.25 on weekends. Optionally accrued after contracted 38 hours working week
Dynamic Leave (Flexi Leave): Non-contractual benefit of up to 15 days a year of additional leave. This is where individuals have worked beyond their regular contractual hours to respond to business needs.
Pension: Pension 14% (6% Employee and 8% Employer)
Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Share Incentive Plan: Opportunity to purchase shares via payroll before tax and NI.
Company Sick Pay: This ranges from 6 weeks for the first six months of service and scales up to 48 weeks after five years of service.
