The role
Groomfield Recruitment are looking for 3 Metal Polishers to join their client in Birmingham [B7].
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 0730-1630, and Friday 0730-1230
Duties for a Metal Polisher:
Polishing & Buffing: Operate manual hand tools, power tools, and mechanical polishing lathes to smooth and finish metal components.
Restoration & Preservation: Restore vintage hardware, antiques, and heritage pieces. This often involves chemical treatments, abrasive cleaning, and applying protective lacquers to prevent future corrosion.
Quality Inspection: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets strict aesthetic and functional standards without surface defects.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and dress polishing wheels, grinders, sanders, and other workshop machinery.
Experience Required: You must be able to operate a Lathe to polish parts to a high standard
Ability to work alone aswell as in a team
Experience having worked to a high standard and meet company targets
