Bookkeeper
Our client is a specialist accountancy firm supporting SMEs with transparent, all-inclusive financial services. They pride themselves on delivering accuracy, trust and excellent customer care. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.
Location: Northwood, Harrow
Salary: £28,000-£33,000 per year
Bookkeeper – Benefits:

Bookkeeper – Responsibilities:
4. Maintain accurate bookkeeping for multiple clients using Xero
5. Complete regular bank reconciliations
6. Manage VAT clients and prepare/submission of VAT returns
7. Process CIS returns monthly
8. Handle accounts payable and receivable
9. Carry out credit control and chase outstanding payments
10. Support with payroll journals and payroll reconciliations
11. Prepare month-end adjustments including prepayments, accruals and depreciation
12. Reconcile key control accounts (VAT, PAYE, wages, bank, directors’ loan)
13. Produce monthly/quarterly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
14. Communicate with clients regarding queries and required information
15. Support statutory compliance and assist with HMRC queries
Bookkeeper – What We’re Looking For:
16. 5 years’ bookkeeping experience (ideally within an accountancy practice)
17. Advanced Xero experience
18. Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
19. Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy
20. Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
21. Strong communication skills
22. AAT/ACCA or similar qualification desirable
