The role

St Richard's Hospice is seeking an exceptional Senior Staff Nurse to join our dedicated Advice & Guidance and Rapid Response Teams.
This is a vital role within our service, supporting patients and families in their homes and through our hospice-based support line. The position includes lone working during weekends and bank holidays as part of a team rota, offering autonomy within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.
You will
* Deliver high-quality nursing care in patients' homes as part of the Rapid Response team.
* Work within the Advice & Guidance service, managing new referrals and providing clinical advice and emotional support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals over the telephone.
* Coordinate and develop individualised care plans and ensure seamless care delivery.
* Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and delegate appropriately to Senior Health Care Assistants (SHCAs).
This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
About You
We are looking for:
* A Registered Nurse with post-registration experience.
* Ideally experienced in community and/or palliative care.
* A nurse who is flexible, calm under pressure, and well-organised.
* A compassionate individual with excellent communication and delegation skills.
* Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment but can also work independently, especially during lone weekend shifts.
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for work purposes.
