Location: Hybrid - home and Burntwood, Staffordshire Head Office, with travel to UK sites/events as required Salary: £32,000 (subject to review)About the RoleWe're looking for an ambitious, confident, and creative Social Media & Content Manager to take Busy Bees' national and local social presence to the next level. This role is central to building brand awareness, growing an engaged online community, and delivering authentic, relatable content that supports enrolment, builds trust, and protects our reputation.Reporting to the Head of Brand, you'll own the social media and content strategy from planning through to delivery - ensuring our channels feel warm, human, and relevant, while enabling centre teams to share their stories at scale. Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Community - Lead & Deliver
* Own and deliver the social media and content budget, strategy, and calendar for national and local channels -ensuring content is creative, on-brand, and channel-specific.
* Shape and implement the local social approach, including pilots such as the Local Page Empowerment programme with key centres.
* Partner with local influencers and ambassadors to create authentic, relatable content and extend reach.
* Oversee social guidelines, seasonal toolkits, and training to support centre teams.
* Engage daily with audiences, responding to comments and messages to foster loyalty and community.
* Ensure all content and competitions are GDPR-compliant, accessible, and brand-safe.
Content Creation & Strategy - Make it Human
* Deliver content strategies aligned with brand and business goals, targeting multiple audiences.
* Write, edit, and curate high-quality, platform-specific content across social channels.
* Lead with real stories from parents, staff, and children, using authentic "in-the-moment" visuals over polished stock imagery.
* Increase "real-life" visuals backed by our heritage and accolades.
* React to trends, encourage user-generated content, and adapt messaging for each platform.
Operations - Empower Centres
* Create guidelines, seasonal toolkits, and training to help centre teams shine online.
* Deliver workshops and resources to upskill centre teams in social and community engagement.
* Manage and optimise social tools, platforms, and reporting systems.
* Maintain an organised content asset library.
Reporting & Insights - Measure Success & Stay Ahead
* Produce regular KPI reports tracking reach, engagement, sentiment, and ROI - using insights to improve future activity.
* Monitor competitors, industry trends, and sentiment to inform strategy.
* Identify and test new ideas to keep content fresh and engaging.
* Spot trends early, test new formats, and adapt strategy accordingly.

5+ years' experience managing social media and content (agency or in-house).
* Proven ability to lead multi-channel social activity from planning to execution.
* Strong copywriting, creativity, and trend awareness.
* Experience working with influencers and brand ambassadors.
* Analytical mindset with social analytics tools (e.g., Yext, Sprout Social).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
* Knowledge of GDPR, accessibility, and safeguarding in content.
