Position: Art Teacher (Maternity Cover until January)

About the Role:
The Headteacher is seeking to appoint an aspiring Art teacher to join this thriving specialist school. Reporting to the Headteacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons, ensuring the department and school achieve their aims. We seek an enthusiastic, flexible, and determined individual who shares our values and wishes to develop their career in this specialist area.
Who are we looking for?
* Qualified teacher with experience.
* Experience within a specialist provision is desirable, but applications from those in mainstream or college settings will be considered.
* Subject specialism is essential, along with knowledge of current best practices.
* Training and development will be provided based on the school's needs and your career goals.
Key Accountabilities:
* Collaborate with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to support the curriculum for all students.
* Plan and deliver well-structured lessons.
* Manage classes effectively, motivating students appropriately.
* Address students' SEMH needs to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
* Understand assessment requirements within your subject area, including statutory assessments.
Essential Criteria:
* At least 2 years' experience working with learners facing challenges similar to those at this establishment is advantageous but not essential.
* Effective team player.
* Experience in planning, delivering, and assessing tailored learning activities.
* Proven ability to handle pressures and personal challenges successfully.
* Dedicated work ethic focused on meeting students' needs.
* Passionate about making learning effective and enjoyable.
* Ability to work independently.
