Role Summary
Join CCP’s passionate team leading peatland restoration projects across Scotland to help tackle the climate crisis and to reverse biodiversity loss.
As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you’ll work with landholders and businesses to design and implement large-scale peatland restoration projects across Scotland. You’ll use your various skills in GIS software, applying for Peatland Action funding, and working with The Peatland Code.
We’re looking for someone who understands Scotland’s landscapes, communicates clearly with clients and stakeholders, and thrives in both field and desk-based work. A professional and timely approach to communications and deliverables is required and an action orientated approach is critical. The role offers significant autonomy, requires regular travel across Scotland, and promises the chance to see some incredible places along the way.
You’ll take the lead on projects, provide internal support to colleagues, review outputs, and have the potential for direct line management responsibility. You’ll also make independent decisions on behalf of CCP to ensure the delivery of the highest quality advice and projects.
We are particularly interested in applicants with a hydrological background and an interest in/experience of catchment scale management, catchment hydrology modelling and the practical study of water quality and retention metrics that are impacted by peatland restoration activities. If you’re driven to make a real difference to Scotland’s landscapes and climate, we’d love to hear from you.
