Are you passionate about data analysis and have strong communication, organisation, and IT skills? We are seeking an Investment Planning Officer to join our Stock Analysis Unit in the Asset Management and Programme Works Team within the Housing and Neighbourhood Service.
About the Role:
Initially work from our Solpro Office in Sheffield with the flexibility to work remotely part of the week. You will play a key role in the planning and programming of our 5-year investment Plan for the Council Housing stock, including Net Zero. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse data and contribute to the development and delivery of investment strategies for the Council’s housing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Use Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, to manipulate data and generate insights. Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is essential, while familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of bespoke systems to enhance functionality and efficiency. You will need to quickly adapt to new systems and support the extraction of data from our housing systems.
3. Conduct data analysis and produce reports with recommendations to inform asset management best practices, investment policies, and legislation.
4. Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organisation, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to guide critical business decisions affecting both individual properties and the overall housing portfolio.
5. Work independently and as part of a team, managing your workload and taking initiative on key projects. You’ll also coordinate closely with your team leader and service manager to ensure successful project delivery.
Projects you will be involved in include:
6. Analysing data from our Asset Management and Energy Modelling systems to achieve Sheffield City Council’s goal of having a Net Zero housing stock.
7. Collaborating on the Decency Standard to ensure that the condition of Council houses are accurately recorded.
8. Working with the Surveying Unit to enhance the Stock Condition Survey process for better data capture and input.
9. Creating reports relating to business planning that will aid the Council’s decision-making process.
10. Partnering with the Programme Support team to monitor project completions and ensure accurate data capture
11. Ensuring asset energy data is correctly captured and managed.
