Lead Medical Education Co-ordinator

The main purpose of the post is to provide administrative coordination support to the senior Medical Education Team to develop all educational opportunities/activities in Medical Education. To co‑ordinate Medical Education, including learning provision for medical students, trainee doctors, trainers (Clinical and Educational Supervisors) in all specialties across the Trust. This includes all aspects of administration such as induction co‑ordination, timetabling, room bookings, record keeping and general office management. A different working pattern may be required at peak times e.g. inductions and when medical students are on placement.
Main duties of the job
Can work flexibly to support external regulators’ requirements and the ongoing Trust transformational and cultural change journey. This role and other department roles will be allocated portfolio work streams to meet the evolving needs of the department.
The role of the Medical Education Department is to:
* Manage and develop Medical Education activity/schedules to support and deliver Health Education England’s (HEE) Learning Development Agreements (LDA) with the Trust.
* Meet the Medical Education standards and requirements for undergraduate (UG) medical students, postgraduate (PG) trainees and trainee physician associates (tPA) as defined by the GMC, HEE, Universities, Specialty Schools and Royal Colleges.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs Grade A* – C or equivalent qualifications (incl. English & Maths)
* NVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration or equivalent qualification/experience
* ILM Level 3 in Business & Administration or equivalent experience
* Recognised qualification in IT – Advanced ECDL, CLAIT or equivalent
Knowledge
* Knowledge and experience of administrative procedures/systems to support teams within a health and care setting including coordinating meetings and events, including minute taking
* Project and change management experience
* Experience of developing systems and processes
* Medical Education Curriculums
* Implementing tracking and monitoring processes
* Experience of collating, analysing and presenting information
* Staff management
* Facilitating and evaluating learning within teams
* Health Education England (HEE) & General Medical Council (GMC) Frameworks
* Junior Doctor Contract
Skills and Aptitudes
* Advanced IT skills including proven abilities in using Microsoft Office
* Verbal and written communication skills

* Standard Check: £21.50 + Administration cost of £6.50 = £28.00 – deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one‑off payment.
* Enhanced Check: £49.50 + administration cost of £6.50 = £56.00 – deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one‑off payment.

£28,392 to £31,157 a year (Per Annum Pro Rata)
