Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team to work on infrastructure and/or construction projects. This position requires a proactive approach and enthusiasm to work within an evolving business.
Responsibilities
* Quantity Surveying
* Prepare applications to be sent to the client.
* Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors from tender through to final accounts.
* Price and agree variations with both client and subcontractors.
* Preparation of CVRs and cash flows.
* Input into monthly Contracting Department valuation figures.
* Contract Administration
* Administer projects within the agreed contract conditions; these will vary dependant on the client.
* Ensure compliance with notification requirements and contractual timescales.
* Maintain robust contractual records and communications.
* Risk & Value Management
* Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
* Contribute to risk registers and cost risk analysis.
* Support or lead value engineering initiatives.
* Assist with provision of commercially sound advice within the project teams.
* Stakeholder & Team Engagement
* Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and supply chain partners.
* Provide commercial insight to project teams to support informed decision-making.
* Mentor and support junior commercial staff where appropriate.
Experience & Qualifications
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
* 3-5 years’ experience post degree (less experience considered).
* Experience administering NEC and/or JCT contracts desirable.
* Proven experience managing subcontract accounts through to final account agreement.
