As a Regional HSQE advisor at Story Scotland you will provide assurance, guidance and support in the safe operation of sites, in order to comply with all Health and Safety regulatory and legislative requirements. The role would involve supporting and collaborating with our Project Teams to deliver projects to the highest health and safety standards. Innovation and drive are a key ingredient in pushing our standards to continuously improve.
Whether you are an experienced health and safety advisor or just starting out on your health and safety journey you could be the right fit to join the HSQE team if you can build collaborative relationships, have an attention to detail and can drive positive change.
Key Responsibilities;
* Promote a culture that improves Health & Safety in the workplace
* Provide support and guidance to the project delivery teams
* Monitor and accurately report on Health & Safety compliance
* Conduct accident investigations ensuring problems are appropriately addressed and rectified
* Support HSQE initiatives

The Ideal Candidate:
* PTS certified
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* Experience and expertise gained in working in a similar role
* Experience in accident investigation
* Working knowledge of the rail industry and infrastructure
* Ability to engage with Site Managers and Colleagues to gain buy in to H&S agenda
* Good IT and reporting skills
* Excellent communication skills
* High degree of attention to detail
* Flexibility to meet business needs
