Employment Adviser
Reed in Partnership’s Employability Division supports individuals who are unemployed, economically inactive or facing challenges such as health conditions, disabilities, or caring responsibilities to find sustainable employment.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of a caseload of long‑term unemployed jobseekers, identifying barriers and creating tailored action plans to progress them into employment.
* Deliver personalised, one‑to‑one guidance on CV writing, interview preparation and skills development.
* Meet and exceed performance targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Collaborate with participants to shift mindsets and build confidence needed to find and sustain work.
* Engage with local employers to identify job opportunities.
* Signpost participants to internal and external stakeholders to address specific barriers such as health, housing or financial challenges.
* Promote the Restart Scheme within the community, raising awareness of its benefits and impact.
* Provide inclusive support and advice to people from all backgrounds, remaining fair, open and honest.
Qualifications & Experience
* Coaching or mentoring experience and persuasion/influencing skills through previous work or social activities.
* Experience in a customer‑facing environment (e.g. Customer Services, Hospitality, Social Care, Sales).
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, performance‑target driven environment.
* Willingness to travel locally to meet customers and employers.
* Minimum of 2 A‑Levels or equivalent Level 3 Diploma and GCSE English Language at least Grade B, or Level 2 Literacy Assessment at interview, or international equivalents.
* Desirable: Fluency in more than one language.

Salary range: £28,000 – £30,000 (pro‑rata for part‑time).
