Learning Support Assistant - Immediate Start
Location: Secondary School, Greenwich

Contract: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Salary: Dependent on experience
A mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering the opportunity to support students in their learning and development, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help
2. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies
3. Support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
4. Encourage students' confidence, independence, and social development
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure student progress
6. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with children in an educational or support capacity
2. A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
3. Experience with SEND is desired/required
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
