A bit about the role
As a Quality Technician, reporting to the Technical Manager at Rudie's Kitchen, you will ensure that our quality systems and processes are operated effectively, maintaining product quality from raw materials to dispatched goods.
This role combines responsibilities between a standard Quality role and that of a Senior QA, offering a senior-level scope without line management duties, with an attractive salary of £38,834 per year.
Key responsibilities include:
* Educating the broader team to proactively manage processes and systems
* Conducting product testing on incoming raw materials and finished goods
* Monitoring and analyzing product quality, identifying improvements, and collaborating with other departments
* Completing scheduled QA tasks (GMP, calibrations, audits, sampling) timely and following up on actions
* Investigating non-conformance issues and implementing corrective actions
* Participating in process trials and supporting new product/process integration
Additional details
This is a full-time, permanent role with a rolling average of 41 hours per week on a shift rotation, including days, nights, and some weekends. Shifts are typically 7am-7pm for days and 7pm-7am for nights, with various rotation patterns.
* 4 on, 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)
* 5 on, 5 off (3 days, 2 nights)
* 5 on, 5 off (2 days, 3 nights)
Ideal candidates should:
* Loves dogs (naturally)
* Have previous QA Lead experience (essential)
* Be pragmatic, adaptable, resilient, and humble
* Possess proven QA, systems management, or HACCP experience in food manufacturing
* Understand production and packing processes
* Have knowledge of process capability and target setting
* Be eager for a challenge and to build from the ground up
* Enjoy the pace of FMCG manufacturing
Salary: Up to £38,834 per year.
