Maintenance and Business Development Coordinator
Job Summary
Airport facilities maintenance are looking to hire a carpenter for the Gatwick Night team.
Responsibilities
* Undertake fabrication works and assemble wooden structures, frameworks, and fixtures according to specifications.
* Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precision in cutting and shaping materials.
* Conduct repairs on existing installations.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
* Engage in heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and assembling structures.
* Carry out works at the following locations: Stansted airport; occasional support at Heathrow.
Skills and experience
* Proficient in the use of hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and measuring instruments.
* Experienced in operating power tools.
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
* Joinery: 1 year (Required)
* CSCS (preferred)
* Carpentry: 1 year (Required)
Qualifications
* C&G qualified carpenter (cards & certs will be audited prior to this role being offered)
* Clean criminal record
* Full UK driving licence
* CSCS
* Ability to prove 5 year work history
* Competent to work alone
* Able to work cohesively in a team
* IT literate
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
