At Buckinghamshire Council we have an opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join one of our newly created Locality Hubs. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in managing and supervising staff, delivering statutory social work services, and promoting the safety and wellbeing of children.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing and supervising a multidisciplinary team, ensuring services are delivered effectively, and making a real impact by assessing needs and developing care plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Promoting the safety and wellbeing of children
* Supervising and supporting staff
* Managing team duties and ensuring quality practice
* Delivering statutory and early help services
* Collaborating with various departments to achieve the best outcomes for children
About You
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual who is committed to making a positive impact and has strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Qualifications
* A recognised social work qualification
* Active SWE registration
* Substantial experience in direct work with vulnerable children
* The ability to manage and supervise a team effectively
* A commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children
Benefits
In addition to the advertised salary, you will receive a market premium of £2,750 per annum. You will also receive a Golden Hello payment of £2,125 after one year’s service (for external candidates only).
