Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Berkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. This role is for qualified SEN / SEND tutors who are eager to work 1:1 with children and young people with diverse learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.
Targeted Provision aims to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. Tutors are supported throughout placements by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists, and we keep a team around the child to maximise success.
This position is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to provide Maths, English, or Science tutoring with a focus on 1:1 delivery and holistic support.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in educational and social-emotional journeys
* Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Providing holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional journey
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment Status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer a fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
