Development Engineer
We are seeking Graduate/Trainee Electronics and Electrical Engineers eager to develop their design engineering skills. As a Development Engineer, with support and guidance, you will be responsible for design development and product testing.
Development Engineer Responsibilities
* Collaborate within a project team, reporting to the project manager or technical lead
* Contribute to initial design structures
* Build and test development units
* Create parts lists, wiring schedules, and source components
* Populate and test manufactured PCBs
* Conduct inspections and tests, including fault finding on hardware equipment
* Design electrical and electronic elements and sub-assemblies of test systems
* Adhere to project timelines and budgets
* Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to clarify requirements and meet specifications
* Produce and maintain accurate electrical drawing packages, including schematics, bill of materials, and wiring schedules
* Coordinate with manufacturing teams during assembly and testing, providing accurate work status updates to the project manager
Development Engineer Requirements
* Understanding of manufacturing requirements related to electrical production
* Ability to handle multiple projects
* Problem anticipation and solution assessment skills
* Methodical and organized approach to work and documentation
* Teamwork skills
* Accuracy and precision in work
* Ability to interpret electronic drawings
* Strong fault-finding skills
* Formal engineering qualification in electronic or electrical design
* Eligibility for Security Check (SC)
* Familiarity with analog and digital interface circuits
* Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent design/drawing software (preferred)
* Experience with National Instruments hardware/software (preferred)
