Your New Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Site Operations Manager. You will manage the Preventive Maintenance programme across all equipment, including material handling transfer conveyors and elevators.
Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Supporting the efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
* Diagnosing faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic equipment
* Ensuring all engineering work complies with Health and Safety legislation
* Repairing industrial Agri-feed conveying systems to company standards
* Supporting all phases of capital investment projects from design to commissioning
* Maintaining accurate and organized records of all work, both in written and electronic formats
* Liaising with and working alongside specialist contractors
* Performing any other duties necessary for the safe and efficient running of the site, as directed by the Site Operations Manager or designate
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this role, you should demonstrate:
* Completion of an approved apprenticeship with relevant Mechanical/Electrical qualifications
* At least five years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a mechanical and/or electrical role
* Experience in troubleshooting and rectification on various equipment, PLCs, safety circuits, control circuits, SCADA-controlled equipment, and variable speed drives
* An understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
* Hands-on fault-finding experience with PLCs, safety circuits, SCADA, and motor controls
* Ability to read schematics and diagnose faults using electrical drawings
* Strong initiative and ability to resolve issues independently
* Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO), isolation methods, and risk assessments
* Full, valid driving license
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* ATEX experience is desirable but not essential
