POSITION SUMMARY
Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms by hand stitching, applying adhesive patches, or using a sewing machine. Distribute clean uniforms to personnel according to company specifications. Send damaged uniforms to appropriate location (., seamstress, Housekeeping, outside vendor) for repair. Document guest requests for laundry/dry cleaning, minor repair, and pressing of garments in accordance with company specifications. Record assigned and unassigned uniforms as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned. Inspect uniforms for damage and remove substandard uniforms from circulation and issue replacements.
Key Responsibilities
8. Receive linen and uniform for washing.
9. Keep a daily record.
10. Professional use of sewing equipment.
11. Process guest clothes and uniforms by care instructions.
12. Execute guest orders for mending and sewing with an obligatory receipt.
13. Fit and mend staff uniforms upon necessity.
14. Mend guest linen and curtains.
15. Daily cleaning of working room and keeping of sewing equipment in order.
16. Effective distribution of linen and working materials
17. Consistent improvement of the professional level.
18. Strict observance of hygiene rules, safety and security instructions at the workplace.
19. Strict observance of fire prevention rules.
20. Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and the hotel.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
21. Secondary education
22. 2 years working experience in a similar field preferably in either a 5-star Hotel, or professional tailoring
23. English Language proficiency
24. The candidate must have the following skills to fill a position: Sewing taking measurements fitting Maintaining sewing machine

Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
