An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Coventry. This role would suit either an ECT English Teacher seeking a strong induction and mentoring programme, or an experienced English Teacher looking to join a department with high expectations, clear structure, and a shared commitment to literacy and progress.
As an English Teacher, you will be part of a collaborative department focused on developing confident readers, writers, and communicators. The English team works closely to ensure consistent approaches to curriculum delivery and assessment across all key stages.

Key Responsibilities
* Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Planning lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
* Contributing to departmental planning, moderation, and curriculum development
* Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom routines
* Supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
* Strong subject knowledge in English
* Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Strong classroom management skills
* A reflective and collaborative approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
