The Job:
We are seeking a Temporary Troubleshooting Content Editor to join our client on a temporary basis until the end of 2025. This is a 100% office-based role in South Bristol.
The role involves using in-house tools to build, maintain, and optimise troubleshooting flows that help end-users resolve device issues and reduce unnecessary repairs or returns. Responsibilities include researching common problems, creating and testing troubleshooting scripts, editing existing content, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to improve content quality and accessibility.
Responsibilities:
* Build and update troubleshooting scripts for specific devices and features.
* Create bespoke troubleshooting flows based on device features.
* Research and prioritise solutions based on success likelihood and relevance.
* Test content regularly across environments.
* Format content using basic HTML.
* Edit and improve scripts based on feedback.
* Monitor user interactions to identify improvements.
* Collaborate with teams for script creation and updates.
* Ensure instructions are clear and accessible.
The Person:
Ideal candidates will have:
* Background in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or similar, with some writing experience and an interest in technology.
* Experience creating user-friendly guides or troubleshooting content.
* Familiarity with editing tools and software (e.g., Photoshop, Fireworks).
* Basic HTML knowledge.
* Strong research and analytical skills.
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Ability to use data for prioritisation.
* Proactive attitude and initiative.
* Interest in consumer electronics and problem-solving.
* Organisational and time-management skills.
Location: South Bristol, fully office-based, with parking available.
Contract: Until the end of 2025.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, 37.5 hours/week, with 30-minute lunch break.
