About the role
Do you aspire to work for an ‘Outstanding’ Local Authority? This role focuses on delivering Family Saf safeguarding practice and supports children and young people at the heart of all we do. We are adopting strengths-based approaches and continuous service improvement within Child Protection services.
Family Safeguarding is a model of system change where specialist adult practitioners are embedded within Family Safeguarding teams of Social Workers to enable a multi-disciplinary, whole-family response. The intervention supports the needs of children and adults so that children can safely remain within their families where possible.
This involves multi-disciplinary teams co-located with social workers, the use of Motivational Interviewing as a framework, and the use of an electronic assessment workbook to streamline information sharing.
Responsibilities
* Establish multi-disciplinary teams with specialist adult practitioners in domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse to support children and families.
* Apply Motivational Interviewing framework and participate in ongoing skills development and structured, solution-focused interventions with families.
* Utilise the single data tool to record and share information efficiently across professionals.
