As a Chef at Sodexo in Ellens Glen House, EH16 6FF, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Quality of Food and Service
Ensure food preparation, production, and presentation meet Sodexo's standards.
Comply with Quality Assurance Audit requirements.
Monitor service quality by 'walking the floor' during service periods.
Hygiene, Health, and Safety
Adhere to company policies, site rules, and statutory regulations on Health & Safety, hygiene, and fire safety.
Personnel and Training
Ensure staff project a positive and professional image.
Follow Unit Personnel Manual and HR guidelines.
Participate in annual appraisals and take responsibility for personal training and development.
Attend company training courses and meetings as required.
Ensure site standards align with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
Deliver meals and services on time and to the required standards.
Ensure staff comply with policies and procedures.
Secure Company and Client property and assets.
Promote continuous improvement through company promotions and merchandising initiatives.
Identify opportunities for business growth within the contract and externally.
Maximise profitable sales through food service brands.
Address customer compliments and resolve complaints effectively, escalating when necessary.
Handle incidents, accidents, or irregularities, including fire, theft, or food safety issues.
Adhere to all Sodexo policies and client site rules.
NVQ Level 2 & City & Guilds 706 I&II or equivalent at least 2 years plus working as a chef
