Role Overview
The Assistant Site Manager reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for on-site management and delivery of specified works within time and budget constraints, ensuring safety and efficiency. They will liaise with QS, H&S, ISO, technical, and other managers to ensure project delivery.
Role Responsibilities
* Assist in managing specific works and workforce to meet productivity, deadlines, and budgets.
* Support the delivery of works according to the programme and communicate requirements to the workforce.
* Coordinate labor and materials across site teams for efficient resource use.
* Work with project managers, QS, and purchasing to ensure timely orders and deliveries, maintaining control over labor and materials.
* Develop relationships with key client staff, stakeholders, and third parties; take ownership of work management within your scope.
* Understand project scope and manage resources to deliver on time and within budget.
* Maintain accurate records of all aspects of the works, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
* Collaborate with project management and QS to manage subcontractors, budgets, and costs.
* Work with H&S to ensure safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements are implemented and documented.
* Coordinate with ISO and Quality departments for service and product delivery management.
* Manage resident and customer issues to ensure satisfaction.
* Monitor workforce performance and address issues promptly.
* Attend site and management meetings regularly.
* Stay updated on industry regulations, H&S legislation, and company procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
* Technical ONC or equivalent in construction-related discipline.
* Experience in cladding/facades.
* In progress or completed NVQ in a construction-related discipline.
* CSCS card; SSTS beneficial; QCQA mandatory; EWI experience advantageous.
* Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
* Valid driving license and access to vehicle preferred.
