Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - 6 month contract - paying up to £600 Inside IR35 - Hybrid (London)
We're partnering with one of the major UK-based technology platforms that delivers content and digital services to millions of users every day, to find a talented Site Reliability Engineer. This is an opportunity to work on high-scale, customer-facing systems where reliability, performance, and automation are critical.
The Role
As an SRE, you'll play a key role in ensuring platform stability, scalability, and performance across a modern cloud-native environment. You'll collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed reliability into the entire software lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
* Designing, building, and maintaining highly reliable, scalable systems
* Improving system observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
* Automating infrastructure and operational processes
* Driving incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
* Working closely with development teams to improve system resilience
* Enhancing CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
What We're Looking For
* Solid background in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
* Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, or similar)
* Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
* Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.)
