Job Description
3. Process and verify supplier invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
5. Manage payment runs, ensuring compliance with established policies.
6. Maintain accurate records and support month-end closing activities.
7. Liaise with suppliers to address queries and ensure smooth communication.
8. Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory filings as required.
9. Support process improvements within the accounts payable function.
10. Collaborate with the wider accounting & finance team for ad-hoc tasks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
11. Relevant experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
12. A strong understanding of basic accountancy principles and processes.
13. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
14. High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
15. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
16. The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
