The Grammar School at Leeds is seeking a reliable and friendly Site Support Assistant to help maintain a safe, well-organised and secure school environment. This is a highly visible role where you will support our students, colleagues and wider community to feel safe and well looked after on site. Working as part of the Facilities team, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and safe running of our daily operations.
You will monitor student behaviour at the end of the school day and oversee car park procedures to ensure the safe arrival and departure of all site users, including school buses. The role also involves working with colleagues to address incidents, maintain accurate records, and uphold site security. From litter picking to reporting maintenance issues, you will help to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and safety that our students and staff deserve.
We are looking for someone observant, empathetic and enthusiastic about safeguarding children and creating a secure atmosphere for everyone. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellent service, and the ability to remain calm and proactive in challenging situations. Experience in a similar role, knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety requirements, and working as part of a multi-skilled team would be advantageous. A driving licence is desirable but not essential.
In return, you will join a supportive and friendly team within one of the leading independent schools in the region. If you are approachable, flexible, and keen to make a difference to the daily life of our school community, we would be delighted to hear from you.
