Role Purpose
The Proposals Manager plays a key role in driving capital equipment and upgrade sales, contributing directly to the company's profitability. This is achieved by producing accurate, timely, and competitive proposals in response to customer requirements, working within market-responsive Business Centres (BCs). Each proposal must be on-time, on-budget, and on-specification.
Proposals Manager – Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimating
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for capital equipment (centrifuges) across petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and mineral sectors.
* Use the ERP system to extract and analyze data (BOMs, purchase info, inventory, cost data, customer transactions).
* Break down costs for materials, engineering hours, manufacturing time, shipping, and other transactional expenses.
Cross-Department Liaison
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics teams to:
* Get accurate time and cost estimates.
* Update and verify data in real time.
Proposal Development & Management
* Format and present costs/prices for customer-facing documents.
* Manage proposal timelines and ensure timely internal reviews and approvals.
* Create and maintain deviation lists based on project specs.
* Ensure proposals comply with client specs, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
Client & Sales Support
* Work with clients, agents, and sales teams to gather relevant project data.
* Attend pre-sales meetings, present proposals, and clarify customer queries.
* Translate customer requirements into actionable strategies and documents.
* Prepare technical and commercial documentation (scope of supply, pricing schedules).
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals and cost estimates.
* Track proposal performance and integrate lessons learned into process improvements.
Candidate Profile
* Experienced in CAPEX budgeting and ROI analysis.
* Familiar with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, CE).
* Detail-oriented, inquisitive, and persistent.
* Able to manage multiple deadlines and perform under pressure.
* Professional demeanor and able to work with commercial urgency when needed.
* Comfortable with collaborative working and proactive communication.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
