The Role
A newly renovated2-bed childrens residential homein Melton Mowbray is ready to open and were looking for an experiencedRegistered Managerto lead it from day one.
This is a great opportunity to shape a home backed by a provider that already runs 14 homes across the region, all ratedGood or Outstanding. Youll have genuine autonomy to lead the service, while being supported by a senior team who understand residential childcare and put reflective practice at the centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the home through Ofsted registration and into full operation
* Recruit, train and manage a skilled and consistent staff team
* Create a safe, stable and nurturing environment for young people with EBD
* Oversee safeguarding, care planning, quality standards and compliance
* Embed trauma-informed and therapeutic practice into daily routines
* Build strong partnerships with families, schools, local authorities and external professionals
About You
To succeed in this role, youll need:
* Experience as aRegistered Manager(or Deputy Manager ready to step up) in a childrens residential setting
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare) or working towards completion
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted inspections and Childrens Homes Regulations
* Experience supporting young people with EBD and trauma-informed practice
* A calm, relational leadership style that promotes consistency and development
* Full UK manual driving licence
